Lone Eagle Legacy: Alibi x Hyatt Collaboration

Lone Eagle Legacy: The Whole Story

When our brand manager approached Hyatt about brewing an exclusive, easy-drinking beer for people to toast to the great memories made at The Lone Eagle Grille, the long-standing friendship between Alibi and Hyatt Lake Tahoe deepened.

Maxx Grush, Alibi Ale Work’s brand manager for the past nearly 6 years, plays a crucial role in this story. Over the years, Maxx has built a strong partnership and relationship with the Lake Tahoe Hyatt team over the past 6 years, leading to the idea of collaborating on a beer from a local brewery (us!) to offer to their guests upon check-in.

We were all thrilled–what a great way to commemorate the legendary Lone Eagle Grille and let Hyatt guests see local companies collaborating together to offer something great (and delicious) to commemorate an amazing place that holds so many memories.

Maxx was eager to get this in production. He designed the label (including taking the picture that wraps the can) and chose the style of beer and its name, Lone Eagle Legacy. The Lone Eagle is not only close to Maxx’s heart since he and his wife share many special memories there, but being an excellent at his craft, he has had his hand on the pulse of our community and what they hold dear; The Lone Eagle Grille, a Lake Tahoe waterfront restaurant with access to the Hyatt dock that stood for 30 years, hosting you and your family dinners, performances from the infamous Luke Stevenson, and employing some of the best people in Tahoe.

Now that the Lone Eagle has been officially torn down, the legacy lives on through our Tropical Blonde Lone Eagle Legacy beer. We sometimes have it on tap at our pubs, and it will always be stocked exclusively at the Hyatt. Those are the only places you will be able to get your hands on it–and believe us, it’s worth trying!
Cheers to the Lone Eagle!
