DESCRIPTION:Join Nevada County's Poet Laureate\, Karen Terrey\, in her new 
 monthly event that invites creatives who are interested in prose\, poetry 
 and reading for all ages.\nSign up for a 3-minute slot to get on stage to 
 share your work.\nKaren has some great authors lined up to do exclusive re
 adings as well.\nThis event is free and we can't wait for you to join us o
 n the second Thursday of each month\, featuring poetry\, prose\, and singe
 r-songwriters.\nAbout Karen:\nKaren Terrey serves as the Poet Laureate for
  Nevada County. She's a writer\, editor\, and writing coach\, offering wri
 ting services\, developmental editing\, publishing guidance\, and creative
  writing workshops in Truckee through her business Tangled Roots Writing f
 or clients of all ages.  An alumni of Community of Writers\, she teaches 
 English at Sierra College.  Her poems have appeared in Rhino\, Edge\, Me
 adow\, WordRiot\, Puerto Del Sol\, Wicked Alice\, Canary\, and Gray Sparro
 w Journal\, among others. Her book Bite and Blood is available from Finis
 hing Line Press and local bookstores\, including  Word After Word in Tr
 uckee.
